About Us

'We're only as great as the guests we entertain'

The Dukeries Brewery was started in 2012 when current owner Phil Longley set about creating the finest blend of locally brewed ales. Quickly outgrowing their previous facility, the current venue was purchased in 2016 and the dream started to grow.

With an amazing venue at his disposal, Phil and Danielle (heiress to the throne), began to transform the old snooker hall into a dedicated live music venue promoting local artists and things were going well until the great flood of 2019. Like so many other residents, the Tap was consumed by a foot of water and the damage was unthinkable. On the brink of ruin Phil decided to give it once last shot. All in, shit or bust, a last roll of the dice. With the help of friends and neighbours the Dukeries Brewery was completely transformed into the venue you see today with more being added on a regular basis.

Both Phil and Danielle knew that in order to survive the tap needed a rebrand. Bigger, better, stronger!

The whole venue was upgraded. The sound system was replaced with a state of the art system to offer a more crisp sound. Top bands from across the country were sought and the lighting and visual appearance transformed. Gone was the 'old brewery that had music on' and born was Dukeries Live! Worksop's premium live music entertainment venue, so good that nationally accredited bands were now contacting us to play within the venue.

Of course that's only half the story, the rest is still being written. And no venue can ever be better than its guests. So on behalf of everyone at Dukeries Live, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your support. Without you guys our doors will close.
